UPDATES FROM BINC:

BINC'S EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

As of Monday, Oct. 7, Binc had already received 34 hurricane related calls for help from 11 stores and 23 individuals with many more expected, and free mental health wellness is being offered to anyone in need. Binc Program Manager Judey Kalchik knows from experience that the need will continue to grow as the waters recede, power and cell phone signals return, damage can be assessed, and the cleanup begins, and she’s closely watching the path of Hurricane Milton.

BINC ANNOUNCES SECOND $10,000 MATCHING GIFT TO HELP BOOK PEOPLE AFFECTED BY HURRICANES

As Hurricane Milton barrels toward Florida and recovery efforts continue across six states in the wake of Hurricane Helene, Sourcebooks has offered a second $10,000 matching gift to ensure donations made to Binc will have double the impact.

Sourcebooks will match all gifts, regardless of size, up to $10,000 to continue to meet the needs of the hundreds of bookstores and comic shops and thousands of store employees potentially impacted by the two hurricanes.

Double the impact of a gift to Binc by donating today. Big thanks to our friends at Macmillan Publishers for offering the first $10,000 match.
