From Grumpy Cat to Dolly Parton, the Art & Entertainment team acquires and publishes art and pop culture books, gift formats, and calendars across a wide range of non-fiction categories. Our titles are contagious, beautifully designed, funny, and commercial. We need a quick-thinking, pop-culture and trend-loving editor who has endless creative book ideas, agent relationships and a growing track-record of acquisitions, and a clear vision for what makes a book irresistible.

Copyeditors and proofreaders, primarily for chapter books and middle-grade novels. Ability to copyedit/proofread Spanish and/or any languages in addition to English is a plus!

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Sales Manager will maintain and grow revenue across academic and trade channels by combining Key Account and Sales Distribution ownership (Amazon, B&N, Independent Retail, and sales distribution partners) with rigorous analytics to help the organization deliver high impact to our customers and authors. Acting as the primary voice of sales for internal and external stakeholders, they will clearly communicate sales performance, title opportunities, and product-market fit for potential acquisitions.

The Collective Book Studio is seeking a full-time Publishing Assistant, this role will report to the Publisher and CEO.

The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be comfortable working independently, be highly organized, and be able to prioritize and multitask while meeting strict deadlines. Additionally, the candidate should have a can-do attitude and the ability to communicate on behalf of the company clearly. 

Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets. Experience with AirTable is a bonus!

This is an integral role supporting our publicity efforts across our entire publishing program, including Adult, Children’s, Gift, and Games. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about public relations, media, and the publishing industry. Reporting to the Associate Director of Publicity, this role will run point on our gift guide pitching as well as supporting other departmental projects and providing title support as needed.

Fellows will have a variety of responsibilities which may include evaluating manuscripts, aiding in submissions, sorting and sending out decline notices as needed, drafting copy and acquisition materials, preparing sales materials, performing competitive research, helping with mailings, attending meetings, participating in brainstorming, and handling other administrative tasks.
