The Reading Bug is seeking a rockstar full time bookseller (30-40 hours per week) to work on our sales floor as well as behind the scenes as a personal shopper for our nationwide subscription box service. The ideal candidate will be energetic and bubbly and have some retail experience. Must love children's books and sharing that love with children and adults. Must be willing to read outside of work hours. You'll learn every aspect of the bookselling business including sales, event planning/execution, receiving, shipping and merchandising as part of our small and mighty team. Hours may be somewhat flexible but will generally be Wednesday through Sunday from 9am-5pm. (At least one weekend day is a must) Individual health benefits through Kaiser available. Duties and responsibilities include: |

● Maintain accuracy and consistency across records, including contracts, client information, and project documentation. ● Assist the publisher with data entry for marketing budget, royalty adjustments, ensuring accuracy in tracking, calculations, and updates to royalty records. ● Creating and managing folders or records in Google Drive or Dropbox ● Updating contributor contact lists and internal mailing lists ● File for Copyright for all new titles and apply for LCCNs for all titles on the Library of Congress Portal ● Upload data for audiobooks to industry platforms ● Process sample requests ● Upload the requested Digital Materials for the Foreign Rights Agent ● Monitors, tracks, and responds to author event orders and logistics, and liaises with appropriate members of the sales staff and internal team for follow-up ● Performs sales-related administrative support duties for the founder ● Perform other administrative tasks as needed. |

● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills ● Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and/or Microsoft Office ● Experience with data entry or administrative work ● Communicate effectively via email and virtual or in-person meetings ● Ability to manage time and work independently ● Reliable internet connection if working remotely ● Familiarity with Airtable or any CRM platform is a plus, but not required |
