We will have a Bookstore Tour on Sunday, September 13th (new event, this year only). Special invites (limited quantity) will be sent to our participating vendors and publishers closer to the event.

CALIBA is meeting at the DoubleTree by Hilton Mission Valley San Diego for two days of lively conversation, education, rep picks, and networking for Fall Fest on Monday-Tuesday, September 14th-15th.

Want to maximize visibility for your latest titles? Our seasonal newsletters offer prime space to showcase your books to our engaged booksellers and their audiences. We updated the digital promotions submission and payment process in May.

  • Schedule your promotion* on Schedulista.
  • To submit your creative materials: visit our Promotional Opportunities portal, select your promotion type, and complete the order form.
  • When it's time to checkout** you can request an invoice, or pay by credit or ACH.
  • Alecia will follow up via email when your promotion send has been scheduled.

JOIN CALIBA: SIGN A LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR "AMAZON MONOPOLY HARMS" LAWSUIT

CALIBA has signed on to support the Amazon Monopoly Harms Lawsuit. The lawsuit is organized by Small Business Rising coalition and indie business associations: "We need to show a groundswell of support from small businesses across the country to demonstrate the harms Amazon continues to have on small businesses and fair markets in our communities. Tell the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and states that Amazon should go to trial." Sign the Letter

LIBROMOBILE IS HOSTING THE OC BOOKSELLERS CLUB QUARTERLY MEETING - SATURDAY, JULY 11TH, 8:30AM-10AM

"Let’s be good neighbors and talk books, sip coffee/tea, and share ideas! Join a community of passionate booksellers in Orange County and participate in supportive discussions. All booksellers in OC are welcome: Indie Bookstores, Indie Authors and Publishers, and Pop-up Book Vendors."

Bookseller Shoutouts: 1 - Banter Bookshop celebrated their 4th birthday on Saturday. 2 - Bookshop Benicia is turning 33 in July. 3 - Juneteenth: Good Girl Books (Mar Vista), Alibi Bookshop (Vallejo), Pegasus Books (Berkeley and Oakland) 4 - Father’s Day: Chaucer’s Books (Santa Barbara), Noe Valley Books (San Francisco) 5 - Vroman’s Bookstore, in Pasadena, is honoring Pride month with a display of the best science-fiction novels featuring LGBTQIA characters, in space!  6 - Book Soup, in West Hollywood, is feeling the World Cup excitement from one of the host cities.  7 - Pages: A Bookstore, in Manhattan Beach, hosted their first letter writing event, and it was a success!  8 - LibroMobile, in Santa Ana, took their paletero book cart on the road and setup in front of their neighbor, Cafe Cito.
