About Our New Member: The Fleuria is Los Angeles’ first romance-focused book truck, bringing a curated selection of romance and romantasy books to readers across Southern California. Housed in a vintage Volkswagen truck, The Fleuria will pop up at local establishments, host private events, and create community gatherings for book lovers to connect and discover new favorites.

2025 WINTER CATALOG: AD SPACE RESERVATIONS CLOSE JUNE 30TH

RAMP is a marketing, sales and production group managing the two seasonal (summer and winter) catalogs for bookstores in four regions, including CALIBA.

Booksellers voted and we have a winner - The Old Sleigh by Jarrett and Jerome Pumphrey (pub date: November 4, 2025). Congratulations, Norton Young Readers!

CALIBA Fall Fest, September 17-18, 2025

2025 FALL FEST: BECOME A SPONSOR

CALIBA is meeting at the South San Francisco Conference Center for two days of lively conversation, education, rep picks, and networking on Wednesday-Thursday, September 17th-18th. Click here for more details.

Thank you for submitting your exhibitors, authors, and rep picks. Invitations will be sent out in the coming weeks.

2025 GOLDEN POPPY AWARDS

The members of CALIBA present The Golden Poppy Book Awards to recognize the most distinguished books written by writers and artists who make California their home.

We are especially looking for titles in the following categories: 

  • Martin Cruz Smith Award: Emerging Diverse Voices
  • Octavia E. Butler Award: Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror
  • Poetry
  • Romance
  • Children's Nonfiction
  • Middle Grade
  • Young Adult

We suggest that publishers send review copies:

  • Winter/Spring/Summer titles by July 30th
  • Fall titles by September 15th
