We curate life-changing books—spanning personal development, memoir, and psychology—and pair them with unique finds from small makers to help you send gifts that spark meaningful change. We also host weekly book events virtually and in San Diego, and 3% of every purchase supports emerging authors.

We would like YOUR HELP on fleshing it out. Please suggest additional examples and possible language in the google doc or email Hannah at hannah@caliballiance.org. Now More Than Ever, I Stand with Bookstores is a fundraising campaign to engage all book lovers to join some of their favorite authors/creators and stand with their community stores during this time of uncertainty. They can help stores by making an in-store purchase and/or making a donation to Binc. Your support is appreciated and optional. The Book Industry Charitable (Binc) Foundation is our safety net. Whether you are facing a life-altering medical situation or the effects of a climate related disaster, Binc is the place you can call for help. Donations will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling your impact, up to a total of $50,000.

3 - On Waverly, in San Francisco, held a fun event for eventgoers to reconnect with their inner child through readings and conversations.

4 - Noe Valley Books, in San Francisco, is gonna need a bigger boat for all these shark week books.

5 - Two Birds, in Santa Cruz, has a few alternatives to Shark Week.

6 - Ruby’s Books, in Folsom, has a display to celebrate Aunts & Uncles’ Day.

7 - Book Loft, in Solvang, shows off a few of their favorite summer cookbooks.

8 - Flintridge Bookstore, in La Cañada Flintridge, has loads of options with a summer blockbuster movie display.
